The FEDIP Future Leader Bursary is a competitive programme which invites those working in health and care informatics to become part of a yearly cohort of aspiring future leaders.

What does the Future Digital Leader Bursary Programme offer you?
Professional Body Membership
The bursary covers a 12-month membership of a FEDIP Professional Body (AphA, BCS, CILIP, IHRIM) of your choice and access to their mentoring scheme.
Certificate of Recognition
Achieving a place on our competitive bursary program recognises your potential in the health and care digital profession. Awardees receive a FEDIP certificate, validating their acceptance, and a digital badge to share with their network. This acknowledgement highlights your leadership skills and dedication to advancing digital health and care.
Future Digital Leader Council
FEDIP Future Digital Leader alumni are invited to join the Future Digital Leader's Council. A special interest group that allows participants to feedback on ongoing programmes of work within the profession.
Private Peer-to-Peer Community
Each cohort has a private peer-to-peer support group to connect with other members within their bursary group for support, ideas and collaboration.
Online Speaker Programme
Bursary holders are invited to three exclusive webinar events where we invite current industry leaders to present on their current projects and answer any questions they may have. Past speakers have included:
Sonia Patel (NHS System CIO), Kelvyn Hipperson, (CIO, Royal Cornwall Hospital NHS Trust) and Melanie Iles - (Interim CCIO for NHS England).
Conference Attendance
Conference attendance at the next FEDIP-sponsored conference (date to be confirmed)
Who is the programme for?
The programme is open to both clinical and non-clinical professionals working in the health or care informatics (digital health) profession.
The programme aims to have a wide range of professionals represented.
Previous bursary holders range from Business Analysts and Digital Nurses to Clinical Coders and Mental Health Support Workers. Previous applicants have been a mix of NHS, charity and private companies.
