Cohort Four: FEDIP Future Digital Leader Bursary Applications Now Open


The FEDIP Future Digital Leader Bursary is now accepting applications for its fourth cohort. This competitive programme supports professionals in health and care informatics who aspire to take on leadership roles—particularly those who may face financial or systemic barriers to entry.


Whether you work in a clinical or non-clinical role, in the NHS, private sector, or a charity, if you're committed to the future of digital health and care, this opportunity is for you.

What the Bursary Offers

  • 12-month membership to a FEDIP Professional Body of your choice, including access to mentoring schemes and your FEDIP registration fee paid for

  • Certificate of Recognition and a Digital Badge, acknowledging your leadership potential and commitment

  • Access to the BCS Faculty of Health and Care Conference (London, date TBC)

  • Exclusive webinar series featuring senior leaders in health and care

    • Previous speakers have included:

      • Sonia Patel, NHS System CIO

      • Kelvyn Hipperson, CIO, Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust

      • Melanie Iles, Interim CCIO, NHS England

  • Private peer-to-peer support group with your cohort, including in-person meetups

  • A place on the Future Digital Leader Council, where alumni help shape the future of the profession


Who Should Apply?

The bursary is open to individuals working in digital health and care. Previous recipients have included digital nurses, business analysts, clinical coders, and mental health support workers. Places are not limited to the NHS and are open to professionals from NHS organisations, government health organisations, private healthcare providers, and charities.



We are particularly keen to support individuals who face financial barriers to development. The programme seeks to foster a diverse, equitable and inclusive community of future leaders.
