Welcome to the FEDIP Forum. We are happy to welcome you to the FEDIP family, and, as with all families, we have a few house rules!
We hope you will use our forum to network and share ideas that will be of interest to your fellow informatics professionals and the wider health community.
1
Be kind and courteous
We're all part of the profession and we want to create a welcoming environment for everyone. So, please treat everyone with the respect you would expect from all your colleagues. Debate and different points of view are encouraged but please always be kind with your feedback.
2
No hate speech or bullying
It should go without saying but here it is in writing: bullying is not tolerated, and offensive comments about race, religion, culture, sexual orientation, gender or identity are not acceptable. This may result in removal from the forum without warning.
If you see any posts you consider to be offensive, please report it to the moderators. We don’t want you to expend any of your valuable time on engaging with such posts, the moderators will handle it for you.
3
No spam
Self-promotion, spam and irrelevant links aren't allowed outside of specific promotional topic posts. We are happy for you to share within the community, but please keep it to the specific “Promotions Topic” to ensure that questions and advice posts are not lost in a sea of promotions!
If you are posting on behalf of your organisation or commercially, please declare so when you are contributing to a discussion in which you have a commercial interest. Posts that are clearly advertising or spam, will be removed without notice.
4
Contributions
If you see a question you can answer, please be generous with your time and help a fellow FEDIP member out! In the same way, we hope you will share and request advice from the community.
5
Respect everyone's privacy
Please be mindful when sharing thoughts, ideas and information. Once something is out there on the internet, it is difficult to retract it. We encourage honest and open conversations within the forum, but please be sensitive to information that may be private.
6 Removals
FEDIP reserves the right to remove content or users from the forum at any time. We trust the members of our community, so we do not review posts before publication and therefore we take no responsibility for any content posted by individual members. However, we have zero tolerance for behaviour that violates our community guidelines.
The website manager’s decision is final in the suspension or withdrawal of posts and/or users from the forum.
We know the informatics community to be outstanding and caring professionals and we know you won’t let us down!
If you have suggestions or questions about the forum, we would be delighted to hear them. Please contact us anytime.
