Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to the purchase and use of Affiliate Practitioner registration and associated services provided by the Federation for Informatics Professionals in Health and Social Care Community Interest Company.

2. Acceptance of these Terms
By purchasing Affiliate Practitioner registration, you confirm that you:

have read and understood these Terms and Conditions
-
agree to be bound by them
-
agree to comply with the FEDIP Code of Conduct
-
commit to completing at least 10 hours of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) during your registration period
You must be at least 18 years of age to register.
3. Description of the service
Affiliate Practitioner registration provides:
-
time limited access to the FEDIP Hub digital learning platform
-
inclusion on the FEDIP Professional Register for the duration of registration
-
access to resources intended to support professional development and progression
Affiliate Practitioner status is an entry level, transitional status and is not full professional registration.
4. Duration and non renewal
Affiliate Practitioner registration:
-
is granted for a fixed term of 12 months from the date of purchase
-
does not renew automatically
-
cannot be renewed once it expires
At the end of the 12 month period, individuals wishing to remain on the FEDIP register must:
-
join one of the FEDIP recognised Professional Bodies, and
-
apply for the FEDIP level appropriate to their role and experience
5. Eligibility and accuracy of information
You agree to provide accurate, complete and up to date information during registration.
FEDIP reserves the right to suspend or terminate access where information provided is materially inaccurate or misleading.
6. Code of Conduct and professional standards
All Affiliate Practitioners must comply with the FEDIP Code of Conduct at all times.
FEDIP may suspend or terminate registration, without refund, where it reasonably determines that there has been a material or repeated breach of the FEDIP Code of Conduct or misuse of FEDIP services, particularly where such conduct may damage trust in FEDIP or the integrity of the professional register.
7. CPD requirement
Affiliate Practitioners are expected to complete a minimum of 10 hours of CPD during the 12 month registration period.
FEDIP may request confirmation of CPD activity as part of progression to a FEDIP level or for audit purposes.
8. Payment and pricing

All prices are displayed in pounds sterling

Payment is due in full at the point of purchase

Affiliate Practitioner registration is a one off payment
FEDIP reserves the right to change pricing for future registrations, but this will not affect existing paid registrations.
9. Cancellation and refunds
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you normally have a 14 day right to cancel digital services.
By completing your purchase, you expressly request immediate access to digital content and services.
Access is granted automatically upon payment. You acknowledge that, once access has been granted, your statutory 14-day right to cancel no longer applies
If you have not accessed your digital content, you may cancel within 14 days of purchase by contacting info@fedip.org.
No refunds will be provided once digital access has been granted, except where required by law.
10. Access and availability
FEDIP will take reasonable steps to ensure availability of the FEDIP Hub and associated services. However, access may occasionally be interrupted for maintenance, updates or reasons beyond our control.
Temporary interruptions do not constitute grounds for refund or extension of the registration period.
11. Intellectual property
All materials provided through FEDIP services remain the intellectual property of FEDIP or its licensors.
You may not copy, distribute, share or reuse content except for your personal professional development.
12. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any matter that cannot be excluded under English law.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, FEDIP is not liable for:

indirect or consequential losses
-
loss of income, opportunity or reputation
-
decisions made by users based on content provided
FEDIP services are provided for professional development and guidance purposes only and do not constitute legal, clinical or professional advice.
13. Termination
FEDIP may suspend or terminate access immediately where:
-
there is a breach of these Terms
-
there is a breach of the Code of Conduct
-
services are misused
-
continued access poses a risk to FEDIP, its members, or the public
Termination for breach does not entitle you to a refund.
14. Data protection
Personal data is processed in accordance with the FEDIP Privacy Policy, available at:

15. Changes to these Terms
FEDIP may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate.
Continued use of services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
16. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
